I love drooping poppy buds almost as much as their flowers. When they bloom, papery poppies sit atop long stems, their flowers yielding to unique seed heads that are as awesome as the flowers themselves. They're magnificent at every stage.
The Mother of Pearl poppies are a mix of pastel bicolors. Their edges are painted with shades of pinks, purples, greys, the shades becoming softer near their centers.
Poppies do best in cooler weather, and can succumb to our intense summer heat but give quite the show before they do!
