Round 5" pot
The hardiest of perennial herbs, with long, slender, tubular leaves that present with purple flowers. Both flowers and the leaves have an onion taste. Chop finely to add an onion flavor to any dish. We particularly love them in omelets, cream cheese, or to make a delicious chive butter. First to appear in spring in your herb garden and one of the last to die back in the cold of winter. Add flower petals to salads or open faced sandwiches - each puffy head is made up of many tiny purple flowers that can be broken apart easily and scattered on top of anything to add flavor and color.
