The taste of Summer! Genovese is our signature basil. Known for its large leaves and aromatic flavor, Genovese basil is perfect for Italian dishes as well as complimenting heirloom summer tomatoes. Makes a great pesto as well. When adding basil to any sauce recipe be sure to add it near the end of cooking. To avoid bruising the leaves, simply roll them and then sliver with a knife. Be sure to pinch off any white flowering tuffs, as leaving them will encourage your basil to go to seed and stop producing leaves.
